Okay, I get that the Republicans don’t like Obamacare, but this ad is really stunning. An older, obviously upper middle class white woman who has had cancer multiple times and good access to health care, tells the viewer that government can’t take care of us. But, the point right now is to get people signed up for insurance so they can have access to the same kind of services that she had! What’s the purpose of the ad? To make those with insurance feel smug or to make those without feel jealous and angry? It’s really weird and I can’t see how this is effective in convincing people not to sign up for health insurance.
